Every gift guide on Top Fans Corner is built by the Top Fans Corner editorial team using the same repeatable process. Here’s exactly how a product earns a spot on one of our team pages.
1. Officially licensed only
We only feature officially licensed NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL merchandise. Counterfeit fan gear is a real problem on marketplaces — a “bargain” jersey with crooked stitching is the fastest way to ruin a gift. If we can’t verify the license, the product doesn’t make the guide.
2. Review-score analysis
Before a product is listed, we screen its Amazon review history — overall score, number of ratings, and what the recent reviews say about sizing, print quality, and durability. Items with recurring complaints (peeling logos, shrinking after one wash, wrong team colors) are cut, even when they look great in photos.
3. Roster accuracy checks
Player merchandise goes stale fast — trades, free agency, and retirements can make a jersey outdated overnight. We verify every player-named product against current team rosters and re-audit all 124 team pages when rosters move. Where a player has left a team, we either remove the product or clearly label it as a throwback/legend item.
4. Price tiers on every guide
Gift budgets differ, so every team guide covers three tiers:

- Mid-range ($50–$120) — sweatshirts, replica jerseys, wall art

5. Regular updates
Each page shows its Last updated date. We refresh guides when rosters change, when products go out of stock, and ahead of the peak gifting seasons (holidays, Father’s Day, playoffs).
