Storylines

Bears-Packers at Lambeau is always a calendar game, and this one comes with both teams coming off wins. Chicago beat the New York Jets 23-12 on Oct. 4, while Green Bay won 17-14 at Tampa Bay the same day. With the Bears sitting just ahead of the Packers in the NFC North standings, there is enough here for a good early-season rivalry watch.

The recent headlines add to the backdrop without needing much extra decoration. AP says the Bears have another chance to show they have gained the upper hand in the rivalry. ESPN has framed the matchup around how a wild-card game sent the Bears and Packers in opposite directions, and another ESPN headline says Caleb Williams is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. ESPN also notes the matchup brings shades of 1999.
